The City of Welland is launching a review of its ward boundaries in preparation for future growth.
A consulting firm has been hired to assess population changes, evaluate the current boundaries, and recommend any needed adjustments.
With Welland’s population projected to nearly double by 2051, the goal is to maintain fair representation across wards.
Public input will play a key role in the process. Residents can share their thoughts by visiting engagewelland.ca and filling out a survey.
Any changes must be finalized by November 17 to take effect for the 2026 municipal election.
