If you’ve been putting off getting a microchip for your pet – this weekend is the time to get it done.
The Niagara SPCA and Pet Valu in Welland are teaming together for a low cost microchip and rabies vaccine clinic for pets, making it more accessible for people to get it done.
Nina Turmel from the SPCA says it’s important to have pets chipped in case they run off.
She adds that the procedure for microchipping doesn’t harm animals.
The clinic runs tomorrow from 11:00am to 2:00pm, with both microchips and rabies vaccines costing $40.
