Niagara Centre NDP MPP Jeff Burch has tabled a motion calling on the province to eliminate hospital parking fees for patients, families, and healthcare workers.
Citing rising costs and the financial burden on those seeking care or providing it, Burch pointed to Nova Scotia’s recent decision to scrap such fees and urged Ontario to do the same.
According to Niagara Health’s website, a day pass at one of their sites is $19, or you can pay $3 per half hour.
