The Spring It Forward Food Drive collected more than 11,000 pounds of food for Welland’s Open Arms Mission, The Hope Centre, and Holy Trinity Outreach.
Volunteers distributed 6,000 Purolator Red Bags, which residents filled and returned to Seaway Mall to support those facing food insecurity.
This year marked Purolator’s first partnership with the event and included a $10,000 donation match from Elevate Living Niagara.
The campaign is now 93% toward its $20,000 goal, with online donations accepted until May 14.
