The ever-popular Concerts on the Canal series is back for another year in Welland.
This year’s series will feature six dates between June and September starting on June 6th, with all shows being free and expected to start at 7:00pm.
On this year’s lineup are The Smoothies, Figure Four, Mystic Highway, Hungry Hearts Band, the Bucking Broncos and JUNO nominee Terra Lightfoot, as well as a number of opening acts.
The full schedule is as follows:
-Friday, June 6 – special guest DJ Dave Stiles, opener Joe Lapinski, and headliner The Smoothies
-Tuesday, July 1 – opener Jonesy, headliner Figure Four, and special guests Amanda Lyn Parker and Mage
-Friday, July 11 – opener Sleepy Jean, headliner Terra Lightfoot, 2025 Juno nominee
-Friday, July 25 – opener Permilla, headliner Mystic Highway, a CCR tribute band
-Friday, August 22 – opener Billy Rogers, headliner Hungry Hearts Band, a Bruce Springsteen tribute band
-Friday, September 5 – opener The Handsome Devils, headliner The Bucking Bronco
Last year, the concert series was named one of the Top 100 Festivals and Events in Ontario.
Anyone attending is encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, blankets and a non-perishable food donation for the Community Food Drive.
