Niagara Regional Police says one driver has been arrested in connection to long weekend R.I.D.E checks in Welland.
On Saturday evening, around 200 vehicles were stopped, while 24 drivers were asked to give a breath sample for analysis.
One driver’s sample came back as a fail, resulting in their arrest, while six others came back as an alert, leading to their licenses being suspended for three days.
In addition to the arrest and roadside suspensions, police charged three drivers with operating a motor vehicle with no insurance.
